Integrating social and economic networks
This issue spun off from this link dump.
I just read something that said in social life, all you got is relationships and interactions, where the relationships are formed by and only shown by the interactions. This applies to both social and economic interactions. In other words, the message was that they are all the same networks. Which I think is true.
We already got some feelers into the social network worlds.
@elf-pavlik and @fosterlynn have both been involved in W3C social network groups as well as @elf-pavlik 's new Social Economy group.
I also proposed a similar idea in that Hylo Collaborative Technology Alliance conversation, with mixed results.
Anyway, I think it's something we should put in the back of our minds somewhere. Continue to focus on the economic interactions, because that's a pretty big scope all by itself. But maybe see if we can get some of the social-network-oriented folks to start thinking about how they might come together more smoothly...?
Whatcha all think?
